Dorothy Alling Memorial Library is looking for a student assistant to join the team starting in July or late summer. This position is responsible for supporting the care and upkeep of the collection, including shelving and the physical processing of materials; making promotional displays; supporting program setup; keeping periodical collection organized; assisting library patrons; helping opening and closing the library when on duty, and other duties as assigned.  See full job description here.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be in High School and at least fifteen years of age and physically able to: occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.; ascend, descend and balance on stepstools up to three steps; bend and lift overhead to shelving with up 10 pounds.

Normal Schedule:

This is a year-round position with 8 hours/week on average, after school, 1 evening to 8PM a week and 2 Saturdays per month. Vermont minimum wage.
