Kids in the Kitchen (Online)
Monday, February 10, 4-5 pm. Kids in the Kitchen is back for the season! Register in advance to receive the list of ingredients and Zoom link. Join us once a month from December to March to learn how to cook a new dish with the guidance of Registered Dietician, Joanne Heidkamp! Join on Zoom and cook along from the comfort of your own kitchen. This February, learn to make your own soft pretzels!
Adult Puzzle Swap
Month of February. Bring in your gently used 300+ piece puzzles this month and take home something new to you!
Blind Date with a Book
February 1st-14th. Come see our display of "Blind Dates" - books that are wrapped with a few descriptive clues written on the front. Take one home on a date and find out what is underneath the wrapper. Is it a match made in heaven or something you'd warn your friends away from? Rate your date and return your comment card with the book.
Parenting Book Club
Wednesday, February 12, 6-7pm. Hear from Michaeleen Doucleff, PhD, author of Hunt, Gather, Parent in this hybrid event. Register to join online, or stop by the library to connect with others and watch the presentation on-screen in the Community Room. You do not have to be a part of the Parenting Book Club to join this event! This program is made possible by the Winnie Belle Learned Fund Grant.
Adult Winter Reading Book Bingo
Thursday, January 2 - Saturday, February 22. Drop by the front desk to pick up a Bingo Challenge Card or print this one out at home. Read your way to bingo, then drop off or email your completed card to enter drawings or fun prizes at the end of February.
Vermont Reads: Gather
Sign up to be added to request a copy of the Vermont Reads selection this year: Gather by Kenneth M. Cadow by indicating which events you are most interested in attending. Please note that we receive a limited number of copies each year. People planning on attending Vermont Reads events will have priority in receiving a copy. Williston and St. George residents only at this time. You will be contacted by email when a copy is available to pick up.
We also have several copies of Gather that can be checked out in print at the library. If you attend any of the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library book clubs there will be books set aside to be checked out by book club members during the scheduled month for their discussion.
