Each year the Friends of the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library put on a book sale during the 4th of July festivities. Book sales have been a traditional method of funding new library materials and services while making room on the shelves of libraries and homes. More than just the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library benefits from its book sales. The Friends of DAML have also provided books and cash to literacy foundations and organizations across the world.

The book sale generally takes place July 3 and July 4 at the Williston Central School. Volunteers and donations for the sale gratefully accepted during the month of June. Call 878-4918 for more information.
